• The inks printed on tins, are NOT lead based like they were in the past. The ink now used is vegetable/soy based.
• Tin packaging not only protects and preserves a product, but is definitely more environmentally friendly than poly bags, cardboard boxes, clear plastic and foil lined paper.
• Recycling steel helps the environment in a number of ways. Not only is the recycled steel used to make new products, but, the process itself saves resources and energy.
• Steel takes less effort to recycle due to the simple fact that it can be separated from materials heading for land fills and from other impurities by a magnet.
• The steel industry has also become very “green” and so has our factory. We have a program in place that recycles and reuses the solvents from the cleaning of our printing presses.
• All tins created in the factory participates in steel recycling; all of the scrap steel that comes from the manufacturing process gets collected and taken away to one of the many steel recycling facilities.
• The plant we produce are tins at, are a family oriented and operated facility. Our factory has strived to operate in an ethical and responsible manner in all aspects of the business and has taken initiatives and implemented programs to reduce waste, save energy and eliminate pollutants.
